Vintage NAP (North America Philips) Electronics Pocket Tape Measure Circa 1980s With FREE Shipping Red Plastic Housing Approximately 2" x 1 3/4" x 1/2" thick, 79" long metal ruler. Used, scratched, light soiling, extended ruler has several light crinkles (does not affect usage, whatsoever). Here's an interesting collectible from the Consumer Affairs Service of the Electronic Industry. Sylvania Electronics had a TV production plant & Consumer Affairs Division in Batavia, New York in the 1970's. After a financial acquisition in 1981 by Philips Electronics, the production plant in Batavia closed & Sylvania's Consumer Affairs Division relocated to Jefferson City, Tennessee. The Consumer Affairs Branch became the North American Philips (NAP) Consumer Electronic Corporation, where they remained for several years, until the Jefferson City office was eventually closed down.
